About rd Relay

I see which brands' lab reports are broken before they do.

My wife and I run Rad Dad Alternative: two stores in Baton Rouge and an online shop, stocking more than fifty brands. Every product needs a certificate of analysis for the batch a customer is actually holding. Brands reissue those with every batch. So the link on a product page points at the wrong report the moment a brand tests again, and the PDF a brand sent last spring is not the one an inspector wants today.

I found those things because customers and inspectors asked me first. The brand usually did not know. Their reports lived in a folder and on a page somebody updated by hand. Nobody was checking, because checking is a job, and nobody had it.

rd Relay is that job, done for the brand. Forward us the lab's email. We match the report to the right product, size and batch, host it behind one permanent link per product, keep every older batch findable by batch number, and tell you what is missing. Log in whenever you like. You never need to.

What it holds

  • The lab report, matched. Each document is tied to the product, size and batch it names and served from the product's link. On the managed service, a person confirms each match. Older batches stay findable by batch number.
  • The record that proves it. Every publish, replacement, view and recall is logged with a timestamp. What was current on a given date is a matter of record.
  • The things you need in a hurry. If a batch is pulled, the product's link shows the notice first. For stores and distributors, every account's permits sit on one board with alerts that start 60 days out for every permit except a resale certificate.

What it looks like in practice

A shopper opens the lab-results link on a store's product page and gets the current batch's report. A buyer holding last spring's package types its batch number into the brand's page and gets last spring's report. The brand forwarded an email.

We do not grade the results. The lab's document is the document. We keep it matched to the product, size and batch, and where people look.

Built by an operator

rd Relay runs in our own stores before it reaches anyone else, and I do the matching myself. If you make beverages, gummies, tinctures, topicals or supplements and ship batches into other people's stores, it was built for you.

"We run two stores in Baton Rouge and an online shop, and we carry more than fifty brands. When a COA is missing, or belongs to a different batch, a customer or an inspector usually asks me about it before the brand knows. I built Relay so the brand can forward the lab email and have someone check the file before it goes up."
